Supports parsing "X.Y.Z" strings and lexicographic comparison (major, then minor, then patch).

Fields

major: u64

Major version number.

minor: u64

Minor version number.

patch: u64

Patch version number.

Missing components default to zero; components beyond patch are ignored.

Errors

Returns an error if any of the first three components of s fails to parse as a u64.
